Ingleborough

Today we headed to summit to top of Ingleborough with a great little team of 9-10 year olds.

The snow was still in good form over 600m, we even found a compulsory large piece of snow we just had to cut steps in to be able to continue what was some of the teams first winter assent of a mountain.

The last alternative route to the top found us once again on firm néve, most of todays snow you could avoid however if the day lead to colder conditions some parts of the hill would be quite serious to stand up on.

On the way back down we found a great slope for appropriate use of our personal sledges (centre waterproofs!!!), and a place for our mini mountaineers to have a careful go with the ice axe.
