1. Key Skills with Real Adventure
Our programmes are designed to help schools show evidence that their pupils are developing the key skills listed below. The activities are all part of outdoor and adventurous education, combining technical and practical skills with educational and interactive experiences. For post 16 education as well as learning across the curriculum requirements we also tailor programmes to assist in the Key Skills qualifications.

2. Citizenship
Many of the experiences that pupils go through during a week at Real Adventure cover many aspects of the programme of study and non-statutory guidelines of Citizenship e.g.
Key Stage 2: Knowledge, skills and understanding:
- Developing confidence and responsibility and making the most of their abilities.
- Preparing to play an active role as citizens
- Developing a healthier, safer lifestyle
- Developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people
Key Stage 3 and 4
- Developing skills of enquiry and communication
- Developing skills of participation and responsible action
3. PSHE
Our programmes are full of experiences relevant to the programme of study and non-statutory guidelines of PSHE e.g. Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 Knowledge, skills and understanding:

At Real Adventure we offer a range of activities that can provide valuable learning opportunities for particular subject areas eg:

5. Physical Education
Real Adventure can provide for the breadth of study from KS2 to KS4, providing a range of challenges and experiences, which will help to provide evidence towards the level descriptors of the PE attainment target. Our programmes can be designed with you to develop the required range of knowledge, skills and understanding in this area.
Key Stage 2 - O & AA
- Take part in outdoor activity challenges,including following trails, in familiar, unfamiliar and challenging environments.
- Work with others to meet the challenges.
Key Stage 3 - O & AA
- Meet challenges in outdoor activities and journeys
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of individuals within a group when planning strategies.
- Respond to changing conditions and situations.
Key Stage 4 - O & AA
- Meet challenges in large-scale outdoor activities and journeys
- Use a range of complex outdoor activity skills and techniques (canoeing, rock climbing, hill walking etc)
- Solve problems and overcome challenges in unfamiliar environments.
- Respond to changing conditions and situations.
We can offer expert tuition in these activities and can also support teachers in the assessment process, helping students compile a portfolio of evidence to satisfy coursework requirements. Cameras & video cameras are available.
